About Us
Founded in 2008 by Ms Jasmin Khor, Jammin’ Senzation is the largest music institution in Penang, with over 700 active students every year. At Jammin’ Senzation, we incorporate creative and innovative approaches to music education and performing arts. These components enable students to be flexible performers through musical competencies in every aspect, including presentation, composition, aural, theory and improvisation.
Our education system caters for every age, from tiny 3 month old babies, all the way up to senior adults. There are no age limits at Jammin’ Senzation. Our education structure is carefully planned for smooth progression through every stage of learning, no matter where you begin.
We are an official examination center for the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) exams, Rockschool exams and the Australian GUILD Music & Speech exams. We also cater for London College of Music (LCM), Trinity College London, as well as RSL Performing Arts exams.
At Jammin’ Senzation, we believe public performance is essential. Hence, we organize concerts and events regularly to boost students’ confidence and competency. What’s more, a grand charity concert is held every year to contribute back to the community. Among the charities we have supported include down syndrome care, cancer support, orphanages, the blinds, children with special needs, cerebral palsy care, children’s protection societies and handicap supports.
In addition to our structured programs, we also send students for competitions, both local and international levels. Students at Jammin' Senzation have won top awards and distinctions in international competitions, which highlights their hard work and talent and showcase the excellent training and support they receive at Jammin' Senzation.
Our music education courses range from common musical instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, violin, singing, to less common options such as saxophone, cello, bass guitar, flute and many more. Our performing art courses include musical theater, public speaking and various dances such as ballet, hip hop, jazz and Latin dance. We also provide art classes as well as English lessons.
We take pride in our early childhood education courses. Our unique children development programs prepare babies and toddlers towards smooth and easy learning of instruments at later years. Toddler Music Magic course train listening, rhythm, genre recognition, vocal exploration and more, according to their milestone stages.
